Allyship is a Verb

About Course

Welcome to Allyship is a Verb! Kind of catchy, isn’t it? But what does it really mean? It means that each of us, in our own unique ways, can stand up and show intentional support for those who’ve been systemically and historically marginalized, oppressed, and disenfranchised. You’re probably asking yourself, but how can I do that? Allyship, that’s how! It’s one of the many ways we can contribute towards more equitable and inclusive spaces and experiences for all – from our workplaces to local communities and society at large.  Think of allyship as not just an idea, but as a vital principle we can all embrace and activate.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify what allyship is and how it shows up.
  • Analyze active allyship to promote inclusivity to support systemically marginalized groups.

Apply best practices to create Allyship with identities and groups in need of support to avoid performative actions.
